About MinneWebCon

What is MinneWebCon?

MinneWebCon is a full-day, three-track, continuing education conference for web professionals. The conference delivers a practical blend of technical and creative information from industry practitioners and educators directly to University of Minnesota staff, students, and web professionals from ad and design agencies, corporations, non-profit organizations and other higher education institutions.

The agenda focuses on latest developments and best practices concerning:

  • Web accessibility and usability
  • Design/development tools and applications
  • Web standards
  • Content management
  • Social networking
  • Internet law

240 web professionals attended the 2008 conference from interactive agencies, corporations, the University of Minnesota, and other educational institutions.

Background

MinneWebCon is an outgrowth of the University's Web Standards & Accessibility Workgroup. This group has been holding monthly meetings since 2006, with its mission being the sharing of knowledge and best practices about CSS and other web standards. Listserv membership is open to everyone!
